Typography
Two posters were designed for the San Diego neighborhood of Encinitas. I utilized bold typography to capture attention and reflect the area’s lively, expressive culture, while layering the photography represents its playful side. Dynamic layouts and experimental compositions guide the viewer’s eye, establishing a clear visual hierarchy and creating a sense of rhythm across the designs. Each poster highlights a different aspect of the community, allowing the culture, vibrancy, and character of Encinitas to emerge through distinct imagery and composition. Despite these differences, consistent typographic and visual elements maintain a cohesive system across both pieces. The final designs celebrate the neighborhood’s identity through intentional, concept-driven decisions that balance experimentation with clarity.
